- Maturity requires full obedience to the conditions of discipleship laid by our Master.
1. Get to know Christ as High Priest:- Heb chapter 4-6
- as the one able to succor – (2:17-18) ; to sympathize (4:15); to save (7:25); intercessor.
- He maintains us in constant fellowship with God.
1. He saw their faith :- vs 5
2. He saw his sin :- vs 5
3. He saw their grumbling :- vs 8
- the priority & importance of forgiveness
- His concern for the spiritual need
- His miracles have a message.
1. Salvation :- from sin, satan, world , self
2. Sanctification:- for holiness, set apart
3. Separation :- for usefulness, example
4. Suffering :- for glorification.
Summary:-
1. Realise you’re lost, dead, separated from God.
2. Recognise your sin/sinfulness; unworthiness
3. Receive Jesus as saviour to save you.
4. Receive salvation today from all your sins.
5. Repent of your sin- turn away from your sins
6. Restitute for the misdeeds done- set right
7. Rejoice in following Christ- continue obedience to His word.
A SOUL-SAVED (How God reaches out ) or steps of a man coming to
God.
1. The contact :- the place, time, people, possibility
2. The confronting :- approach, portion of Scripture
3. The communication of the Gospel :- at the same point.
4. The conviction :- any hindrance, all is cleared, ready
5. The confession :- who Jesus is believing
6. The commitment :- went down & baptized.
7. The continual joy :- continued on his way with joy (rejoicing)
